Join Women in Mining and Resources (WIMAR)

Membership Options and Benefits

• WIMAR Members (Curtin Students): As a Curtin student, you’re invited to all WIMAR events, including guest lectures, networking sessions, and industry visits. Curtin students can also nominate for committee positions and vote in our General Meetings, allowing you to shape the future of the club.

  • Fee: $5.50 online (includes booking fee) or $5 cash in person.
  • How to Join: Sign up online or pay in person. You'll become a member immediately after payment.

• Associate Members (Non-Curtin Students): Students from other universities, Curtin staff, and Curtin College students are welcome to join as associate members. Associate members can attend all events but do not hold voting rights or committee positions.

  • Fee: $6.50 online (includes booking fee).
  • How to Join: Sign up online to become an associate member right away.

Payment Options

• Pay Online: For instant membership, pay online via our website. This option is convenient and includes a small booking fee.
• Pay in Person: If you prefer paying with cash, EFTPOS, or a Curtin Student Guild club voucher, you can meet us on campus. Pay $0 upfront, and we’ll arrange to meet for payment confirmation and membership activation.

Curtin-enrolled students can collect two $5 club vouchers each year from the Curtin Student Guild. To use your voucher for WIMAR membership, visit a Guild membership booth near Guild reception (Building 106F, Bentley campus) with your Curtin Student ID. After collecting your voucher, bring it to a WIMAR event or meeting to complete your registration.
